Hi! My name is Ashley, and I am the riding instructor here at PRR. I have been riding horses for over 20 years.
My love of horses began when I was taken on my first trail ride at 5 years old. The first formal lessons I took were at a horseback riding camp called Rawhide Ranch where I practiced riding bareback before ever riding formally in a saddle. It was at this camp where I competed in my first horse show, winning the coveted title of Grand Champion Rider.
Following camp, my parents paid for me to begin lessons in the western reining discipline. I was fortunate to be able to ride under Rick Baer out of California for 10 years. As I got older, I would help friends with their "problem" horses eventually getting my own horse as an adult.
My goals as an instructor are to continually grow with my students while learning from other professionals in the industry. I teach lessons ranging from 'never touched a horse' to 'been riding for a decade but need some refreshing.'
Hi! My name is Edi, and I am the horse trainer here at PRR. I have been riding horses for over 20 years as well!
After leaving the army in 2013, I spent 5 years travel ranching in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, including working at the 6666 ranch. Working on these ranches helped me understand what manners are necessary for horses to have under saddle.
After moving to Tennessee about 5 years ago, I began professionally training horses. I have worked with horses at all levels including wild, never been touched horses to ones that just need a little fine tuning.
My goal as a trainer is to work with both horse and rider, so every rider is confident in their horse and their own abilities. I believe in our riders creating strong bonds with their horses to grow trusting relationships. I am constantly learning from the horses, my students, and others in the industry to grow my skills.
